Well, I went walking this morning. It was quite chilly and I did not dress for the occasion, but after a while I was sweating and all was well :) Shawna and I walked just about 2 miles and I was sore when I got home. I'm hoping that soon I'll go even longer and the soreness will wear off.

Brent and I are trying to plan a big vacation for our Anniversary in September. I am so excited. My mom is already on board to watch the kids for a week! I just don't know where we should go. We really wanted to do this last year for our 10th Anniversary, but with the new job and moving it just wasn't plausible. But, now we have the time and babysitter, just no destination. I want someplace tropical and I hope to be looking pretty good by then!!

Yay!

Well, I've officially made some friends!! Pathetic that I'm so excited, but I don't make friends easily. I had a great time at MNO and today I did shopping and dinner with my friend Shawna and her cutie pie, Shelby.
Brent has been awesome. I slept in till noon today and went out all afternoon! Who has a great life?? Me!!!
Well, that about sums it up I think.

Oh, almost forgot!! I was the Biggest Loser this week. I only lost 1.6 pounds, but hey.. it's something!!

Haircuts, MNO's and More

Well.. Parker actually got his hair cut yesterday! You have to know the back story to appreciate how amazing this is! On his birthday, October 7th.. I decided it would be a great day to get his hair cut. We went to Super Cuts and waited our turn. He played with the toys like he normally does. They called our name and he got in the chair and seemed just fine. Then, she pulled out the scissors and he flipped out like I've never seen him before. He screamed, cried, kicked and tried to jump out of the chair. Finally, I had to hold him down so he wouldn't hurt the poor lady. She ended up having to use the buzzer (don't know the right word LOL) and cut soooo much hair off. After she was done, I let him go and he screamed for her to put his hair back no.. RIGHT NOW!! Oh, he hated it so much. He said he didn't look handsome and that he didn't look like himself. It was so sad.. and this was all on his birthday. Ugh.. talk about draining.
So, yesterday when he actually climbed into the chair and gave me the thumbs up while she did his hair I was soooo happy!! He looks super cute, too :)
On to MNO (Moms Night Out).. I'm so excited about it. A bunch of moms are going to Chili's. I haven't been on a Moms/Ladies night out in years! I'm kind of nervous, though. I'm not the best conversationalist. But, I'm going to try!
Also, my friend Shawna and I have decided to start walking at the outlet mall on Tues/Thurs. I'm really excited to start doing this. I think having a friend to walk with will keep me motivated.

Change

Wow.. What a day!! I was glued to CNN all day long following the inaugural coverage. I cried when Obama took the oath of office. What an amazing day for America! I was so happy to know that my kids were at school watching the inauguration on television, too. No matter what your political affiliation, today was a day of promise for America.

Aubrie Brag

I totally forgot to mention that Aubrie finally got her report card and made straight A's again!! Yay Aubrie!!!

Slacker Girl

Well.. I have had a very uneventful weekend. Nothing super exciting going on. We waited for snow, but only got sleet. The kids actually liked it, though. They get excited about pretty much anything!! The kids are excited about their long weekend. They've played every computer game and watched every single movie we have.
That about sums up our weekend!

Once a klutz, always a klutz!!

So.. of the many things I'm known for, being a klutz is one of them. I trip over my own feet all the time. My mom thought I would grow out of it, but here I am.. 31 years old and still tripping, knocking things over and so on :)

Today I fell on the step outside my front door. My knees and hands are all scraped up and one knee really hurts to bend. Best of all, I had a yard full of kids and moms waiting for kids getting off the school bus to watch me! Yay me!!

On a nice note.. Today was our little weigh in and I lost 4.4 pounds this week! I'm so thrilled!!
